Scott Griffiths is the founder and President of GO. Scott has managed and directed marketing and branding assignments for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurial and investment-backed companies, including House of Blues, Connexion by Boeing, Sun Microsystems, Nokia, Bausch and Lomb, Crystal Cruises and Transamerica. In addition to consulting services, Scott has incubated and developed several successful brands, including Rhino Chasers, a microbrew lifestyle beer that was purchased by Gallo in 1998; 18/8, a chain of men's haircare and grooming centres (www.EighteenEight.com); and, The Great Golf Caddie, a line of golf humor and educational products.
After attending Chapman University, Scott graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design, where he later served as President of the Alumni Board and on the Board of Trustees. He received his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He was chosen as Entrepreneur of the Year in 1993. Scott is a member of the Harvard Business School Association, where he helps direct the marketing segment of the annual Entrepreneurs Conference. He currently serves as marketing advisor to the UCLA Anderson Economic Forecast and teaches business courses at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
Scott also conceived, produced, and authored three books, one of which was a best seller - "Air Powered, The Art of the Airbrush" - Random House.
Merri Lee has over fifteen years of senior level experience in media research and planning working with leading agencies EuroRSG/DSW Partners, Martha Felt Group, USWeb/CKS, marchFIRST and boede&partners.İ Client experience includes business-to-business and business-to-consumer with companies such as Intel, Novell, Iomega, Unisys, Plantronics, CenterBeam, 3Com, Micron PC, and StorageTek.
She was on the team that helped drive Intel into the consumer market including popular programs of the time such asİNorthern Exposure &İSeinfeld, as well as Late Night with Letterman, Leno, Today Show, GMA, New Yorker, Parents, and Parenting Magazines. She also directed the SuperBowl buy for Micron PC.
In 1998, she was the recipient of Advertising Age's Business-to-Business Media Strategist award.
Ron Hoopes is an experienced Creative Director with a history of producing award-winning solutions for start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies. His accounts have included Intel, Iomega, Adaptec, Zions Bank, TCI Cablevision, and PointClick.com. Ron is at home producing television commercials and radio spots, as well as designing websites, corporate identity systems, and print and online advertising.
Recently, Ron art directed national and international broadcast spots for industry leader Intel, winning a gold medal at the London International Advertising Awards. At an Internet startup Ron hired and led a creative team and was responsible for designing multiple web sites and developing identity systems along with marketing communications materials for the company.
Ron graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. His creativity expands to his personal and social life where he enjoys other creative ventures including photography, painting, and furniture design.
Loretta's experience as a designer and account manager spans fifteen years in the marketing communications business. Loretta worked with Scott in building a twenty-six-person marketing design agency that would later become GO.
Loretta has managed many projects and accounts from the conceptual stage through design and execution. Whether it is collateral, packaging, point-of-sales, corporate identity or a power point presentation, she has consistently met her client's specific needs through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
Loretta received a Bachelor of Arts at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and further design training from the design departments at UCLA and Otis Parsons School of Design.
Loretta is a gourmet chef and has a published cookbook to her credit. She is also a licensed instructor in Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging.
Raj has vast multidisciplinary expertise in the areas of Strategy, Corporate Finance, Business Processes and Economics. Raj joined GO from Unocal Corporations Corporate Strategy, Planning, and Economics group, where he served as a Senior Advisor. As a part of this group, Rajs responsibilities were far-reachinghe led large strategy initiatives, was deeply involved in risk management issues including trading risk assessment metrics and corporate risk policies, led corporate-wide capital allocation initiatives, and was involved in mergers and acquisitions, alliances and joint ventures. Raj worked closely with Unocals executive leadership, including the CEO, CFO, Executive Vice Presidents, and CIO, and was a highly sought-after internal corporate consultant throughout the organization.
After graduating with distinction with a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, Raj received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California. During his graduate research, he received the Stokes Fellowship two consecutive years for presenting ground-breaking research. Raj has co-authored several papers in the fields of catalysis, diffusion, and membrane transport. Raj also holds an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
Sheldon joined GO from Nokia, Inc. where he served as Design Director for New Business Development before becoming Vice President of Design for Nokias Vertu division of luxury products. While at Nokia, Sheldon directed product design, design engineering, environmental design, and graphic, media and web design. Prior to joining Nokia, Sheldon was a designer at BMW, Designworks/USA, and Mega-Erg, a unique think-tank organization funded by a major global corporation to study the rapid changes in the workplace environment. Sheldon has directed design for clients such as Siemens AG, Honeywell, Samsonite, and Haworth Furniture, and is named on over 35 patents worldwide. Sheldon was initially trained as an engineer, and later received his BS in Industrial Design at Art Center College of Design.
Brian Thompson brings a wealth of talent and experience to GO. As a former member of Hughes' Corporate Technology and Ventures Group, Brian worked with start-up companies organizing and managing their development teams. He also led new project teams developing new consumer product concepts and supported new business efforts in Europe and Asia. As a senior project manager at Hughes Space and Communications, he was responsible for development of satellite ground control software and systems validation. At one point, he had fifteen project managers reporting to him with cost, schedule and technical accountability for over 200 system engineers working across commercial and government programs. Brian received his BSME and MSME from Purdue University and his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
David joined GO from Nova13, LLC an independent development and multimedia production house. While at Nova13, David served as both principle solutions architect and lead developer. Prior to joining Nova13, David was a founder and principle developer of ExtremeSports.com, Inc. a world recognized leader in the extreme sports industry. While serving as Director of Development and Technical Producer David oversaw the production of nine major webcasts, including the three time webcast of ìispoî the worldís largest action sports trade show and InterBike, in Las Vegas. David attended both Utah Valley State College and Brigham Young University. Graduating with honors, David received his BS in International Finance.
Kevin Griffith leads new media efforts for GO. His Internet career began in 1994 with CompuServe and management of online community development for the Western US. Seeing business-to-business opportunity, he later helped grow a small technology services company until its successful acquisition. He managed the presence of a nationwide IT consulting firm that was acquired by Sprint and leveraged resources across data and wireless divisions for more complete client solutions. Most recently, he was with a nationally known web application development firm, where he led efforts of a full-time staff of 30 for creative and technical engagements that ranged from Fortune 500 to small cap companies.
Kevin obtained his BS from the University of Southern California and his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He currently serves as President of the Orange County Chapter of Anderson Alumni.
